aww... I definitely remember. Even though it's not really from the books I love it!
... and a new day will come! :D
I know..... it's like in the great stories.... that gets me every time.... *sniffs*
oh definitely. Those movies never cease to make me cry. RotK still does, even though I've seen it quite a few times now.
Oh, yes, I spend most of ROTK crying..... it's all so sad! And in Into The West, when Annie lennox sings 'Don't say we have come now to the end'.... because it is the end of LOTR! *bawls*
that's so true! :D have you noticed we have about three threads going here? hehe
I love that song. I bought the soundtrack just for that one and Billy Boyd's song.
Hey, our threads are making all the difference to the whole 1000 comment thing - I think we should be proud!
I bought the soundtrack because I love the music, but also because I am an obsessive LOTR fan, and collect as much as I can!
I love Aragorn's song as well, but then that also makes me cry, because I remember the 'you bow to no-one' bit... *sniffs*
I hope we get close to it at least, I mean 1000 comments is a lot. The only ones above 1000 I've seen are on the posts to all LJ users. But oh well. We shan't give up hope! Here we go!
Oh yes, I bought it cause I'm obsessive too, and because it had Merry and Pippin on the cover. :) I'm excited for the extended edition too, because I want the cool Minas Tirith thingy. lol
lmfaooo ohh i want the minas tirith bookends too. so purty!!!
yeah... i've been trying to save up for the special box set of the soundtracks.. it's sooo purty... but yeah.. i think they have special covers too.. and i'm EXTREMELY tempted to buy the merry and pippin covered one for a long while. hmm...
Oh, that Minas Tirith thing looks so cool! And you get a Howard Shore 'composing the soundtrack' type thingy too!
i'm gonna be a complete and utter mess on dec. 14th watching the dvd.. cuz.. it really will be the end... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. *goes to find happy things* ahhh.. picspams...
yes, we are in dire need of more picspams. I think a lot of us will be crying. It'll be so bittersweet - the DVDs will be beyond compare but it's over...
*cries* "it's over" i hate those two words.
especially in the context of Lord of the Rings... oh well. It's not going anywhere soon. The movies will be around long after we're gone. ;)
I know... wait, it comes out on the 14th for you? it's Friday for us! It'll end so much sooner! *cries again*
WHY FRIDAY?!?!?!? NOOOOOOOOOOT FAIR.
if i don't get teary eyed or cry during the entire film... the scene where frodo gets onto the ship does it for me. dude... dom's crying face is just... AHHHHHHHHHH. *ded*
and Billy's too... with his little hobbit tartan on... *bawls* hey, I was crying with em...
ohh man.. when frodo and sam were looking at each other and could just NOT bust out crying but just hugged.. ahhhhhh... *cries*
And I still cry, you know? It's one of those things where even though you've seen it so many times it can still cause the tears to come... *sigh* I'm tearing just thinking about it! But the first time was the worst. definitely.
ahhhhhhhh *sniff* and then even smeagol gets teary eyed watching sam give that speech.... *le sigh*
yeah, but then he decides to be evil anyways. psh. coulda saved them a lot of trouble...
well.. without gollum frodo and sam would've never found mount doom... so he DID serve his purpose.. that and his biting off of frodo's finger caused the hobbit to WANT to destroy the ring when he was hesitating.. so yup.
oh yes, he did have his purpose. Of course, the movies had the Hollywood factor where Frodo fell too and stuff, but it's the same idea. Gollum was there for a reason, just like Frodo was meant to have the Ring. That kind of sounded like Gandalf. lol
lmfaooo. awww gandie. so full of words of wisdom.
"So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work, Frodo, than the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the ring. In which case you also were meant to have it, and that is an encouraging thought."
I know! oh, that scene gets me every time......
