oh definitely. Those movies never cease to make me cry. RotK still does, even though I've seen it quite a few times now.
Oh, yes, I spend most of ROTK crying..... it's all so sad! And in Into The West, when Annie lennox sings 'Don't say we have come now to the end'.... because it is the end of LOTR! *bawls*
that's so true! :D have you noticed we have about three threads going here? hehe
I love that song. I bought the soundtrack just for that one and Billy Boyd's song.
Hey, our threads are making all the difference to the whole 1000 comment thing - I think we should be proud!
I bought the soundtrack because I love the music, but also because I am an obsessive LOTR fan, and collect as much as I can!
I love Aragorn's song as well, but then that also makes me cry, because I remember the 'you bow to no-one' bit... *sniffs*
I hope we get close to it at least, I mean 1000 comments is a lot. The only ones above 1000 I've seen are on the posts to all LJ users. But oh well. We shan't give up hope! Here we go!
Oh yes, I bought it cause I'm obsessive too, and because it had Merry and Pippin on the cover. :) I'm excited for the extended edition too, because I want the cool Minas Tirith thingy. lol
lmfaooo ohh i want the minas tirith bookends too. so purty!!!
yeah... i've been trying to save up for the special box set of the soundtracks.. it's sooo purty... but yeah.. i think they have special covers too.. and i'm EXTREMELY tempted to buy the merry and pippin covered one for a long while. hmm...
yes, the bookends. I have the Argonauths (I didn't have enough money to get Gollum with TTT set, lol. but I like the Argonauth. and want Minas Tirith. badly.
MERRY AND PIPPIN! I want to get that shirt from Hot Topic or something really bad. It's so cute!
omfggggg i've been wanting that shirt since FOREVER.
would you rather get the black and white one or the colored one?
Oh, that Minas Tirith thing looks so cool! And you get a Howard Shore 'composing the soundtrack' type thingy too!
Yes! and Howard Shore is a genius!
i'm gonna be a complete and utter mess on dec. 14th watching the dvd.. cuz.. it really will be the end... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. *goes to find happy things* ahhh.. picspams...
yes, we are in dire need of more picspams. I think a lot of us will be crying. It'll be so bittersweet - the DVDs will be beyond compare but it's over...
*cries* "it's over" i hate those two words.
especially in the context of Lord of the Rings... oh well. It's not going anywhere soon. The movies will be around long after we're gone. ;)
yeah... but all those premieres and red carpets.. and... interviews... and.. cast shenanigans *sigh*
I know... wait, it comes out on the 14th for you? it's Friday for us! It'll end so much sooner! *cries again*
WHY FRIDAY?!?!?!? NOOOOOOOOOOT FAIR.
I don't know, I thought they'd all come out on the same day? Maybe it's because Tolkien was British?
haha.. do DVDs usually come out on fridays in the uk??? cuz.. CDs and DVDs release here on tuesday.. and movies release on fridays and wednesdays.
if i don't get teary eyed or cry during the entire film... the scene where frodo gets onto the ship does it for me. dude... dom's crying face is just... AHHHHHHHHHH. *ded*
and Billy's too... with his little hobbit tartan on... *bawls* hey, I was crying with em...
ohh man.. when frodo and sam were looking at each other and could just NOT bust out crying but just hugged.. ahhhhhh... *cries*
And I still cry, you know? It's one of those things where even though you've seen it so many times it can still cause the tears to come... *sigh* I'm tearing just thinking about it! But the first time was the worst. definitely.
oh hells yeah. i dunno.. i try not to cry too much the first time i see a movie.. esp. when i paid like $10.50 to watch it.. i wanna watch it, not through blurry eyes.. but yeah.. i still ended up teary eyed and rubbing my eyes for the last uhh.. 20 minutes?
but now that i have it at home in my dvd player i can cry as much as i want... *sigh*...
yes, the DVD lets you cry and not feel like you've missed something. You don't really comprehend stuff when you're crying, hehe. but whatever I paid for the movie and consequent showings of the movie was definitely worth it! :D
