I was just thinking the other day how much I would have loved to see Queen, or The Clash... But I saw the darkness last week! That was amazing! I've been to a few gigs. How bout you (Except for BSB, who rock! ;)
many old bands. ooo the Clash! London Calling - love it. I've seen a bunch of bands you've probably never heard of: the Monkees, Herman's Hermits, the Union Gap, the Turtles, the Buckinghams, and the Grass Roots.
old bands are cheaper too! whoot! it's awesome that you got to see the Darkness... how was it? (besides amazing, lol)
I've heard of the Monkees, but none of the others.......sadly, my musical education is not very good.... The darkness were just as you'd expect, Justin was mad, it was like talking to a crazy friend, and the rest, although flamboyant, just got on with playing...
they're not that well known anymore, I don't really blame you, hehe.
that sounds really cool. crazy friend. LOL...
I like your new icon too though, even though its really sad...
Oh well - any songs you would recommend I download?
That you - but it is so tragic - just hearing that part of Into The West is sad...
er... I love "Henry the Eighth" by Herman's Hermits. It's a nonsense song at best, that's why I love it!! A lot!
aw, yes, "Into the West" is such a beautiful and tragic song. And many of the lyrics are echoes of acutal Tolkien poems, so it makes it even better. Fellowship has been on TV over here three times, and I've pretty much watched it... three times. lol
Cool, I'll try and download it....
I know, I love the fact that Peter Jackson put almost as much effort into translates the books into films as Tolkien did in writing the books in the first place! I'd hate it if someone made really bad films just to make money......
ehh if someone made bad films just to make the money.. they wouldn't make much money cuz i for one will not just go out and watch any films based on lotr.. esp. if they were crap...
though.. crappy movies WOULD make people appreciate pete's creation more
oh definitely. There are enough directors today in Hollywood who've done that, and continue to do it today. I mean, I hope directors don't think their films are crap when they make them... I don't know if anyone expects their films to genuinely suck... because it's their creative outlook.
some of them DO make films.. knowing the script sucks.. the cast has no chemistry.. etc.. but they just don't stop the shooting and production cuz they know they'll get hell from the studio and well.. it's a waste of time and money.. they'll just finish it up and release it knowing they created crap... so yeah.. oh wells... it's quite sad to see people lying and supporting their film too.. when they know it's a turd...
It'll probably cost a lot of money when they stop too...
That's really sad though, knowing you've made a shitty film. I mean, it must kind of hurt... I mean, they've done their best... [/sappiness] no, it's actually just for the money, who am I kidding?
lmfao.. and when the movie bombs.. i just point and laugh. *cough*
oh me too... laugh, laugh... sometimes I feel bad... but now, usually I just laugh. hehe
ahaha you talking about TNT???
woman! don't you have the dvd?!
OF COURSE I'VE GOT THE DVD! both versions, in fact! :D LMAO
But it's very tempting when it's actually ON TV, y'know... I mean, you don't have to go get the DVD or anything... you just clips and it's OMGPIPPINMERRY! (at least that's me... hehe)
ahahahaha i do that EVERY time it's on tv.. but yeah.. if it's on something like tnt.. i'll rather just get my dvd out.. cuz... yeah.. commercials.. and the breaking up of such a great movie.. is quite annoying.
of course... I usually watch the DVD but it's nice when it's on sometimes too... but I just watch it when it's on anyways... cause it's on... lol... i'm a bit tired. :)
lmfao. i am too.
reading that. *cough*
